Lake Havasu City’s mountainous terrain, long stretches of open road and numerous trails are perfect for all cycling and fitness levels. Tougher trails will challenge the adventurous, while level, well-paved paths are great for those looking for a relaxing ride.
No matter what type of bike riding best suits you, the trails, paths, and roads here provide the perfect conditions. Those looking for a relaxing ride can jump on a cruiser and head to the Island Trail for a comfortable but scenic ride filled with views of the lake, mountains and even Lake Havasu City itself from afar.
Road biking on Highway 95 can take you 20 miles north to I-40 or 25 miles south to the Parker Dam. With some twists and turns along the way, the trek is challenging, but enjoyable.
Mountain biking in SARA Park has numerous trails with all levels of difficulty. Some of these trails lead to mountaintop views while others end at the shores of secluded bays on the lake.

The paved 3.6 mile loop runs around the interior of the Island. It is also used by pedestrians.
This trail is ideal for those looking for a nice, relaxing ride. The very level and paved paths provide the perfect scenario for beginner's and experienced alike. Awe-inspiring landscapes are abundant as the lake is ever-present and demanding of your attention. This trail can take anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes depending on your speed. Parking is available at the northwest corner of McCulloch Blvd. N & Beachcomber Blvd.
This trail is shared with walkers and runners. Cyclists are required to follow the path clockwise while walkers/runners follow it counter-clockwise for safety reasons as posted at the corner of McCulloch Blvd. N and Beachcomber Blvd.
The 8.5 mile trail parallels Arizona Highway 95 through town from north to south. This trail is ideal for the moderately experienced rider with flat, paved trails with some climbs and descents. The path is easy to follow and offers a nice view of the entire city and lake. A round trip on the trail can take anywhere from 45 minutes to two hours, depending on your speed.
On the south end of town, the trail begins at McCulloch Bl. S and ends on the north side of town at Palo Verde Bl N.. The trail begins and ends on the east side of Arizona 95, but does cross over the highway several times. Street parking is available on side streets all along the trail.
If you are not a strong cyclist or used to hill work, you might want to avoid the segment from McCulloch Blvd. S south towards Mulberry Ave., as the four-mile stretch is a fairly steep climb.
Enjoy mountain bike trails and a BMX track. The main SARA Park entrance is at mile post 175 on Arizona Hwy 95 approximately one mile south of Lake Havasu City (map). You may also enter SARA Park at the north entrance by turning west from Hwy 95 at McCulloch Blvd. S at the south end of the city (map).

SARA Park has multiple trails with higher levels of difficulty for the more experienced rider. These trails are intermixed with walking trails and can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two-three hours to complete. Expect some steeper climbs, rocky terrain and elevations changes of up to 1,000 ft. on these trails.
