TripAdvisor’s travel community continues its love affair with Lake Havasu City. For the third year in a row, the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) Visitor Information Center, located at 422 English Village below the London Bridge, has received its third Certificate of Excellence. Is it the free Wifi? The on-site Bill Spresser Art Gallery? The free purified water? Movies about the history of Lake Havasu City and information about the bridge. Or all the above?
LenneK of New Albany, Indiana, calls the center a “Great resource for making the most of your time.”
We’re obviously doing something right. The CVB has notched a near-record number of visitors at the center, nearly doubling since 2008. Last March, the Visitor Center received 16,179 visitors, almost double the number that stopped by in March 2008. The CVB also has seen surges in visitation at Cattail Cove and Buckskin Mountain State Parks, indicating a rising number of newcomers in the Lake Havasu City region.
Since 2011, TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence honors hospitality businesses that deliver consistently great service across the world. This designation is presented to approximately 10 percent of total businesses on TripAdvisor that have consistently achieved great reviews over the past year. To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, a business, or in our case, a Visitor Center, must maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews, and been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
