The shimmer and sparkle of fireworks will glow brighter than ever this year over SARA Park in Lake Havasu City with the Western Pyrotechnic Association’s remarkable showcase. New memories with family and friends will be created as the clear desert sky morphs into a spectacular kaleidoscope of colors in honor of the 30th anniversary of Winter Blast.
An event that promises to overwhelm thousands of visitors from around the world with the biggest fireworks display in the event’s history.
You have three options for watching the fireworks display in SARA Park:
Vehicle Entry: Park in SARA Park and watch the fireworks display from your vehicle. Although the aerial displays will be seen, you likely will not have the best viewing for the incredible ground displays that occur within the Havasu 95 Speedway (that is located within SARA Park). This admittance allows spectators to bring their own chairs to watch from outside of their vehicle, however, there are no coolers allowed. There is no RV parking in this section of the event, however, there is motorcycle parking and handicap parking. Cost: $7 per vehicle (no per person cost) or a VIP all-week parking pass (good for all five days)
Pyro in the Park: Park in SARA Park and bring your own seating to the baseball diamond closest to Havasu 95 Speedway in the new free family festival area to hear the firework announcers and partake in the fireworks festival, which will feature alcohol, beverage, and food vendors, and music from 4-7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Better viewing for ground displays, in addition to aerial displays. There is no RV parking in this section of the event. Cost: No additional cost besides the vehicle entry fee
Havasu 95 Speedway: Best seating and visibility for ground displays, in addition to aerial displays. Grandstand seating, handicap access, and access to food, beverage, and alcohol vendors. No coolers, outside food, beverages, alcohol, or chairs are allowed inside of the Speedway, however, blankets will be permitted. Spectators are not allowed to save seats for other spectators. Once grandstand spectators leave the Speedway, they are not allowed re-entry. There is no RV parking in this section of the event. Cost: $7 per person (children 6 years old and younger are free with a paid adult), in addition to the vehicle entry fee. Grandstand seats will go on sale at 5 p.m.
Designated RV dry camping spots: total $100 for up to five nights; RVs must be in place by noon each day; the closest dump station is at Cattail Cove State Park, about 9 miles south of SARA Park. The RV camping spots at the Rodeo Grounds are sold out.
The nightly shows are permissible due to weather. It is possible that there will be a last-minute cancelation of the show or a smaller show due to weather. Due to weather, it is not possible to say which night’s show will be the biggest, however, Saturday night is typically scheduled to be the largest single show.
Admission is only available the day of the event. The gate will open at 3 p.m. for the Wednesday show only (which will have no admission because it will not be an organized show).
The gates will open at noon for the Thursday through Sunday shows, which will be organized shows. The main entrance for admission is the southern entrance to SARA Park (NOT the northern entrance across from McCulloch Boulevard and closest to the dog park).
Thursday – Sunday Open firework shooting is expected to begin around 5 p.m. but the organized shows are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., but are subject to last-minute and unannounced changes due to weather. There are no refunds available or “rainy day” passes for entry into another night’s show. If a show is canceled due to weather, admitted spectators will have to re-pay admission fees to another night’s show.
Gates Open: 3pm Wednesday, Noon Thursday-Sunday (you are urged to arrive early as parking and seating fills up fast)
Parking Location: Wed-Sun @ Havasu 95 Speedway and ball field parking lots. Volunteers will point the way to handicapped parking, but it always fills up quickly. Once it is full, parking will have to occur wherever there is available space.
No Re-entry: If you leave, you will be required to pay again if parking is available
Where to enter: Enter at the main SARA Park entrance (most southern entrance near Havasu 95 Speedway) off of Hwy. 95 Wednesday-Sunday. There will be no entry into SARA Park from Dub Campbell Parkway/S. McCulloch Bl. @ Hwy 95, you must use the main entrance. PARKING FILLS UP FAST, EARLY ARRIVAL IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED. No parking along the shoulders of State Route 95.
Parking admission tickets will be accepted at all public parking areas within the park, with the exception of the Fairgrounds. There will also be limited parking at the BMX track, but those parking there will not be permitted to walk to the main event area at Havasu 95 Speedway.
Broadcasting (subject to change)
The show will be broadcast to the SARA Park Rodeo Grounds and BMX parking lots through KKRV FM 104.7

SARA Park Dog Park: Closed from Wed-Mon.
Alternative Dog Parks: Lion’s Dog Park (London Bridge Beach); Avalon Dog Park (1294 Avalon Ave.)
Camping at the Rodeo Grounds has been sold out for the 2019 event.

The shows will take place rain or shine; in the rare event of severe winds, heavy rain or electrical storms, the show will be delayed until the weather disturbance subsides. If torrential, steady downpour ensues, Saturday’s show may be cancelled and a double show will occur on Sunday evening.
