Pond Hopper Nation is teaming with professional angler Roy Hawk to help make fishing dreams come true for youth who otherwise might not have the opportunity to experience their first catch. The goal is to sponsor 200 youth by outfitting them with their own fishing rod, and teach them the basics of fishing for the 2nd Annual Teach a Child to Fish Day to be held from 9am to 3pm on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Lake Havasu State Park. Fishing can take place at the state park, or Lake Havasu’s Mesquite Bay North (map) fishing dock, or Site Six fishing pier (map).
The event is open to all youth and teens who are at least 4 years of age regardless of their fishing experience; there is no cost to participate in the event, but you must RSVP through the event website. To help a child to explore fishing as a pastime and to help spread love and passion for fishing, e-mail email@example.com to make a donation.
