It’s a group effort to keep our lake clean, and once a year diversconverge on Copper Canyon to clean up the bottom of the Cove to help keep the lake clean and our fish and other aquatic life happy and healthy.
2015’s cleanup brought 27 volunteers and netted nine 55 gallon trash bags worth of bottles and cans. Most interesting finds for last year’s cleanup: iPhone 6, a window, rubberized floor mat, an air mattress pump,
sunglasses and many left or right shoes.
2016’s cleanup brought 24 volunteers and netted twenty 45 gallon trash bags worth of bottles and cans. Most notable items included sunglasses, anchors, boat parts, a hat, shoes, and a boat battery.
