Local Happenings Submission Criteria
- The local event must be an ongoing event (weekly or monthly) with longevity of at least 4 months.
- The local event must be open to the public.
- The local event must have a website or Facebook page providing updated information about where and when the event is being held. Local happenings will not be listed with only a contact number.
- Only the event name, contact phone number, website, and a brief description of the event will be listed. Times and dates will not be included, nor periods of closure (i.e. summer months). Events that have a consistent closure period may provide the period they are closed (i.e. the swap meet always closes after Memorial Day and reopens after Labor Day).
- If the event closes or shuts down during a certain period (i.e. summer closure), we will list the event but will not remove the event during the temporary ‘closure’ and then re-add it. It will be the responsibility of the person submitting the event to ensure the event website is up-to-date stating when the event will be closed.
- Local happenings cannot be primarily for commercial, promotional, or sales purposes.
- Local happenings cannot be political or religious in nature.
- Examples of local events that do not meet our criteria are:
- One-day educational seminars
- Small rummage sales or block parties
- Regular meetings that require membership to attend
- Small, local events running only for a day or weekend
- The LHCCVB reserves the right to make the final decision on whether a local happening will be listed or not.
Please email the name of the local event, the event website URL, contact phone number, and a brief description of the local event to events@golakehavasu.com for addition to this page.
