Since March, when the U.S.-Canada border was closed to land crossings due to the pandemic, fewer Canadians have been able to travel south, according to Terence Concannon, Go Lake Havasu president/CEO. "While we will miss our Canadian friends this winter, there will be lots of availability for U.S. visitors to score some amazing vacation rental deals."
Concannon points to data from vacation rental agency Destination Havasu (booklakehavasu.com). Short-term rentals are currently about 50 percent booked through the winter. "Typically the winter rentals are sold out by mid-October, and Canadians generally rent about 65 to 70 percent of Destination Havasu's short-term rentals," he says.
