One of the hottest beaching spots on this stretch of the Colorado River lies about 10 miles north of the London Bridge and can only be accessed by watercraft. The “Sandbar,” which resembles a small island, is situated in the middle of the river just beyond Blankenship Bend. The expanse of shallow water and soft sandy beaches easily lures boaters to lounge the day away.
