Do you think the library is just a place to borrow a few books? If so, you’ll be delighted at all the library offers. Drop on in and see for yourself what you’ve been missing.
You can meet others who share your interests by joining the Book Club, taking a Chair Yoga class, participating in Tai Chi, and more. Start the kids off with an early love of books and learning with Wednesday Storytimes and the Sunshine Soup Program, which combines music, movement, laughter, colors, counting and a big serving of fun. The library also hosts many informative seminars and lectures. Check the library calendar for dates and times of a wide range of events. There are also meeting rooms available – make reservations through the library’s website.
Yes, the library has books, too. From reference materials to biographies to fiction of all kinds, there are books for all ages and interests. Check out books to take home, or read in the library. You can even check out books to read on your Kindle, laptop, phone or other device. Movie and CD check out is also available.
Additionally, the library subscribes to several databases. From free homework help to free legal forms to free car repair manuals to free genealogy tools, your library card gives you access to so much more than books and computers.
If you want to check out materials, use the computers or access the library’s online resources, you will need a library card. Library cards are free for Mohave County residents. Just bring your ID and proof of residence in Mohave County to the library and fill out a quick form. Even if you are not a Mohave County resident and ineligible for a card, you can use many of the resources the library has to offer – make sure you bring a valid picture ID with you if you need to access the library computers.
Other features the library has to offer include wireless, in-library printing and free WiFi.
