Published: September 27, 2011
The Lake Havasu City Convention and Visitors Bureau recently launched a new interactive tourism website, GoLakeHavasu.com, designed to help visitors easily plan vacations, events, and trips in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Known as “Arizona’s Playground” and home to the famous London Bridge, Lake Havasu City offers 360 days of Sonoran Desert fun. With dynamic new graphics and database interfaces, the city’s new tourism website effectively connects travelers to all the things to do in Arizona in and around Lake Havasu City.
Site visitors can easily find and choose from the many fun things to do in Arizona as well as search for the perfect meal and accommodations by type, price or even by part of town. Integrated Google Maps make finding destinations and events easier for the city’s thousands of yearly visitors.
Each interior page on the new website features links to Lake Havasu City’s Twitter and Facebook pages as well as Facebook “Like” buttons and a “Share” toolbar. These social sharing tools help the Lake Havasu City CVB spread the word about the features and fun to be found in “Arizona’s Playground.”
Designed and programmed by Little Rock-based digital agency, Aristotle Interactive, the site also features resources and information geared toward event and meeting planners.
“Lake Havasu City is already a mecca for enthusiasts of thrilling outdoor events such as jet boat races, car shows and hot air balloon festivals,” stated Doug Traub, President/CEO of the Lake Havasu City CVB. “The new site is a one-stop shop for recreational visitors as well as event, group travel, and meeting planners. The site features sections designed specifically to provide online access to all the information, resources and contacts anyone will need to plan their next vacation, meeting, or big event in Lake Havasu City.”
Website visitors can sign up online to get free printed guides by mail to learn about dining, lodging and things to do in Arizona around Lake Havasu City. Visitors can also sign up on the site to receive the Lake Havasu City CVB e-newsletter, which features free event updates and offers.
